Minneapolis Public Schools offers credit recovery in every high school and high school program in the district. Every school has licensed content teachers working with students to recover credits that have been missed. Minneapolis students who have failed one or more courses are eligible to participate in credit recovery. All courses will be taught by an MPS teacher and take place immediately after school. Please check with your school counselor to find out when and where to meet your teacher!

Students participating in credit recovery will work with a teacher licensed in the area or areas that they need to make up, and (in most cases) with a teacher from their own building. Students will have the option to use our digital learning platform, complete lessons and assignments from their teachers, use a blended approach or project based learning. Students are asked to attend with their teacher one day per week after school so that they can learn with their teacher.

To get signed up for credit recovery please contact your school’s guidance counselor, or contact Aaron Gerhardt to learn more!
